The most important program updates from its world debut in 2003, Aston Martin DB9 series has received a complete package of design improvements, engineering and equipment.
 
As the most successful Aston Martin of all time (an honor shared with the V8 Vantage), the DB9 has become the ultimate grand tourer, with a permanent combination of elegance, sportiness and pure luxury.

This new enhancement package perfectly complements these basic qualities. Subtle changes in style cool the Aston Martin DB9 is the appearance, with a new front bumper, radiator grille gloss and lower consumption in the form of re-mesh hexagonal bright. New headlight bezels, redesigned thresholds, silver brake calipers, 20-spoke alloy wheels and diamond became clear taillight lenses complete the external reviews.


Under the skin passive damping system DB9 Aston Martin has been replaced by a new Adaptive Damping System (ADS), which offers more comfortable ride with sharper handling when you switch to Sport mode. The ADS is equipped as standard across the range Aston Martin DB9, which includes both Coupe and Volante (convertible). The Aston Martin DB9 is available as a Coupe and Volante (convertible) with rear-mounted gearbox in the mid six-speed manual as standard or optional  Touchtronic 2  six-speed automatic transmission. The production of the revised version of Aston Martin DB9 is already underway, with deliveries starting in July. Prices start from £ 122,445 for the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe and 131,445 pounds sterling for the Aston Martin DB9 Volante.


Background
The introduction of the DB9 was the beginning of the 21st century renaissance of Aston Martin. The first new model to be built at Aston Martin's headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, and the first to be built around rigid Aston Martin, lightweight construction, bonded aluminum VH, Aston Martin DB9 was an instant success unprecedented and a new tone for Aston Martin in the future.


Since its launch in 2003 some 12,500 DB9S have been produced and delivered to customers in 34 countries. This is established as the most successful Aston Martin model of all time (along with the V8 Vantage), surpassing the total sales of the DB7. Aston Martin DB9 Current production volume is around 1,500 vehicles a year.


Engineering 

Since the introduction of the Aston Martin DB9 has demonstrated the versatility of the VH architecture through the development of the Vantage, DBS and Rapide model ranges. In the process of Aston Martin's engineers have gained an increasingly detailed understanding of the VH platform, which in turn has led to constant improvement and evolution of established models.


In this latest enhancement package for the Aston Martin DB9, hardware changes are centered on the chassis, with a standard adaptive damping system (ADS), which provides a system of ongoing evaluation of the optimum damper, similar to observed in the DBS and Rapide models. Controlled by a button on the center console, dual-stage adaptive dampers can switch between the default mode, which is optimized for ride comfort and a firmer sport mode, which offers a greater body control and a greater sense of responsiveness. Such is the success of the new system damping Aston Martin DB9 is the DB9 Sports Pack upgrade has been discontinued. However, sport design alloy wheels available as an option.


The performance is courtesy of the famous Aston Martin 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 470bhp unchanged foot and 442 pounds of torque. Coupled with a choice of  Touchtronic  six-speed manual transmission paddle shifters for automatic six-speed H-pattern, the Aston Martin DB9 offers a heady mix of pace effortlessly sporty character. A top speed of 190 mph and the ability to hit 60 mph in just 4.6sec sealed his credentials as the ultimate 2 +2 Gran Turismo.


Design
Improving on what many consider one of the most beautiful cars in the world is a delicate exercise. According to the director of Aston Martin Design, Marek Reichman, subtlety and attention to detail is the key:  The beauty of an Aston Martin comes from harmonious proportions, a ground-hugging stance, the surface tension and attention a complete and thorough detail. The Aston Martin DB9 embodies those qualities, it's beautiful, but subtle - not seeking care.


The front bumper is a new major change, with less use of re-mesh hexagonal shape to complement the new glossy finish radiator grille. New headlamp bezels complete the treatment of fresh nose. The profile of the Aston Martin DB9 threshold has also been modified with a major curve  hockey stick  ahead of the rear wheels. Marek Reichman, said:  The DB9 remains one of the most beautiful cars of the sporting world and is instantly recognizable as an Aston Martin, the changes we have introduced here the Aston Martin DB9 modernize to keep at the forefront of automotive design.


Other changes include silver brake calipers, 20-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels as standard, along with new wheel design options and a bright finish grille. Clear rear light lenses are also standard. Within two Apex finish alloy is added to the list of options, along with exceptional BeoSound audio system from Bang & Olufsen.


Motorsport 

Reflection road-going Aston Martin DB9 success, DBR9 and DBRS9 endurance runners Aston Martin Racing has proven a great success on racetracks around the world. With a total of about 20 and 30 DBRS9s DBR9 built and delivered to customer teams around the world, Aston Martins have always gotten a series of victories in national and international championships.


Since winning his debut at Sebring in 2005, the DBR9 has established itself as a consistent and competitive car in GT1 greatly, marking the return of two class victories in the largest 24 hour race of all - Le Mans - in 2007 and extend the specifications 2008.s Aston Martin DB9.
